Ed Edgecombe, 20, is finishing his first year in the Nichols/MWCC 3 Plus ONE Business program. He currently takes his classes at the Mount, but next year he is thinking of taking some classes at Quinsigamond Community College.

He said his original plan was to save money by just getting his Associate's degree at the Mount, then transferring to another school. Edgecombe said "I was told about the 3 Plus ONE program and I ended up going with that because I figured it was cheaper and I would get a degree from a good school that people know."

When given the hypothetical situation of choosing a college that is the same price as the Mount, he said he would still choose the Mount for it closeness to home. "I'd be able to live at home and be within commuting distance to minimize my expenses," Edgecombe said,

Another reason to stay at the Mount for Edgecombe was the people he met while here. In his spare time he plays card games, such as Magic the Gathering, and video games, such as World of Warcraft. At the Mount he has found people with similar interests that he can play these games with.
