Edward Edgecombe, 20, is in his sixth semester at Mount Wachusett Community College, is a Business Major enrolled in the Nichols 3+One program. Edgecombe, who can be seen with headphones around his neck at all times, carries his music everywhere he goes. "I want all the music I can come by," said Edgecombe. "Everything is good in its own time and place, so if you have all the music of the world, you'll never have to quiet moment."
In a recent interview, Edgecombe was asked for the top 10 songs on his iPod and said, "I can't pick just ten. If you want, you can cross out the last three." His top 13 songs are as follows:
1. "Siege At Monsteropolis" by Game Over
2. "Nocturnal Persuation" by Game Over
3. "Master of Puppets" by Metallica
4. "M-aria" by Nightmare
5. "Forest" by System of a Down
6. "Bounce" by System of a Down
7. "Feuer Frei!" by Rammstein
8. "Buck Dich" by Rammstein
9. "Chu Chu Lovely Muni Muni Mura Mura Purin Purin Boron Nurururerorero" by Maximum the Hormone
10. "Zetsubou Billy" by Maximum the Hormone
11. "Kuso Breakin Nou Breakin Lily" by Maximum the Hormone
12. "What's Up, People!" by Maximum the Hormone
13. "Koi No Mega Lover" by Maximum the Hormone
When asked which song he was most embarrassed about having on his iPod, Edgecombe said, "It's not on my iPod anymore but I did have 'Cotton Eyed Joe' by Crazy Frog on it for a while." Edgecombe's all time favorite song is "They're Coming to Take Me Away Ha-Haaa!" by Napoleon XIV.
Edgecombe said, "Since I like to have as much music as possible I prefer whole albums of any kind. I did however start my collection by getting single songs but am now attempting to fill its empty voids." The last song he deleted was "Bleed It Out" by Linken Park, because it was a duplicate.
Edgecombe doesn't know if he will have the same musical tastes later in life. "I don't know about a specific style, but I recently got a cd of piano jazz, Jazeboo: Havana Moon and I can see myself listening to that for some time," said Edgecombe, "I don't listen to only one kind of music so I think I will still be listening to the same stuff. It may change from a lot of the fast paced techno and heavy metal to some soft rock and piano jazz."
