After an eleven year hiatus, Andy's most prized possessions round it up for a third and final adventure, only this time the group of toys aren't struggling to save another lost toy, like in the first two films. The elite and fun filled team do however find themselves stuck in a dilemma. They must attempt to save Andy's inner child in hopes of making him realize he should always keep a place in his heart for the ones who have been there since the very beginning.

From the trailers and official synopsis that Pixar Studios put out on the flick, apparently Andy is now all grown up and is ready to depart for college. As soon as Andy embarks on his journey, the group of prestigious toys from the initial and second film are boxed up and shipped out to a daycare center. Woody, Buzz, Ham, Rex, Mr. Potato Head, RC, Slinky, and last but not least Jessie the yodeling cowgirl, seem to thoroughly enjoy their new surroundings at the daycare center and are quite ecstatic over this new life and the potential that it has with all these new young faces. Finally, the toys won't collect dust and sit in a toy box anymore!

Sooner rather than later, the gang is stricken with an epiphany and knows these new young faces will never be the same or equal up to their previous owner, Andy. Woody and Buzz become determined to return to their rightful home. It's not like this is a difficult plot to predict, but I'm sure Andy will share the same resolution as his toys and ultimately want to return home as well. Apart from the fact that the plot is quite predictable, I have been a huge Toy Story fan since the inaugural film in 1995. Toy Story 3 is one of my most anticipated films for 2010, along with Saw VII, which is evident to those of you who put up with me on Facebook.

I truly believe that Pixar Studios dedication is to be commended for finally making this wonderful and epic story into a trilogy that will be reminisced for years to come. The fact that Pixar aged Andy correctly is exciting and brings a sense of realism to the story. I was seven years old when the first Toy Story was released in 1995. In the flick, Andy was celebrating his 8th birthday. Now, fifteen years later, I'm 21 and in college and in the story Andy is probably about 22 or 23 and he's in college as well. It just says that this story that Pixar created fifteen years ago, really does have a life of its own.

Be sure to check out Toy Story 3 hitting 3D and IMAX theaters June 18th!

I want to take this time to express my gratitude to the Mount Observer for allowing me to express my thoughts for the past year. It has been an absolute thrill ride writing for these guys. There is a very specific reason why I chose to make my last article a "preview" rather than an actual "review." A review reflects on something that has been finalized. My writing is not finalized by any means. My time with the Observer is only a miniscule preview of what is yet to come!
