It is no secret that students at Mount Wachusett Community College are more than likely to be involved in more than one club at a time.

Julian Fox, second year MWCC student, is a member of multiple clubs. He is a member of the International Club, and he recently founded the school's new Theater Club. He is also a member of the Student Government Association.

Fox, a nineteen year old liberal arts major, is originally from Greenfield and currently resides in Athol. He said he came to the Mount for the theater and has plans to transfer to a four year institution for a Bachelors degree in the arts. Fox is planning on a career involving some aspect of theater or acting and also plans on obtaining his stunting license.

He was originally asked to join the International club at his freshman orientation. He said he wasn't planning on joining, but the members were all so friendly and he ended up spending time with many of the members in the Lion's Den.

Fox said the best part of his time with the club has been the field trips and the volunteering they have done. The club recently organized a soup kitchen. "I like helping out people and giving back," Fox said.

Fox said he has matured a lot since joining the club. According to Fox, he was a bit immature and did not know when to stop joking around and take things seriously. Now he knows how to still have fun, but he also knows when to calm down and be serious.

Fox said anyone who wants to be active in the community and meet people of all different backgrounds and cultures should join the club. His meaning of multicultural includes people that are from different backgrounds, races, or people who have different cultures or religions in their lives.
